How I Turned A Huge Internet Meme Into A Small LEGO Set

Every form of artistic expression is a cry for help… I mean love. Love is what makes the world go ‘round. And great music. Great music that sometimes becomes so viral, it turns into a meme. Not any kind of meme. A Swedish-Japanese meme. Not a combo you’d expect, I know. Nor would you expect anime to be a form of Swedish artistic expression, would you? Japanese? Yes, doh! But Swedish? Most certainly not. Meatballs, on the other hand, that’s quintessentially Swedish. So is IKEA, which very conveniently brings me to LEGO — because IKEA is really just “wooden LEGO”.

While Sweden is known for its meatballs, flat packed furniture and Spotify, that last one isn’t the only reason they became really famous in the music industry, and no, I am not thinking of ABBA here. While they may very well be the dancing queens, I am more interested right now in the prancing memes — Mindy, Nadine and Vera — the three members of the Caramella Girls.
