And perhaps a bigger wallet. At 150 bucks, the new LEGO Jaws set isn’t what I would call cheap, though also not too bad, all things considered. I have to be honest, while I had the film on my list for over a decade, I had never watched it until the set was announced. Jaws is a classic, and I do like a classic movie, especially on a cool autumn evening curled up on the couch with some pastries and perhaps some tasty beverage on the side, so before opening the box, that’s precisely what I did — watched Jaws. To my surprise, I quite enjoyed it, and while it doesn’t exactly make my top 10 movies of all times, I could probably squeeze it into my top 100. Having seen thousands, I think that’s a pretty good score. But does the LEGO set live up to the movie’s name? That is the real question here.

And a shark, and an ocean, while we’re at it. At 1497 pieces, this is the lower-end of the large sets you can buy these days in the LEGO stores. While the age-rating is 18+ as it often happens with LEGO IDEAS sets, it has nothing to do with the overall building difficulty.
