Who doesn’t like a good ol’ fashioned skeleton? If anything, we’ve been fascinated by them for as long as history can recall. We use them on flags, we store them in museums, we write stories about them, pray to them, and some — like Tim Burton — make an entire career out of dead folks and if he’s not haunted by that decision, then the rest of us I think are more than fine, regardless of what we do for a living, as long as we do it well. You see, Tim Burton doesn’t just play with skeletons, he’s a master of using death to tell a story, and not just any story, but one that typically would scare the living bricks out of you. Yet, his genius somehow manages to make it quite the opposite, so much so, that myself and many others out there will jump at the opportunity to watch anything signed by master of gothic horror. So, in light of all of that, you can imagine just how intrigued I was when I saw “The Nightmare Before Christmas” LEGO set being announced.
