People don’t always notice their energy-draining habits. Blaming, revenge-seeking, and even multitasking are just a few ways you might lose your vitality. It’s time to give these energy-stealing practices the boot and take up measures to increase your energy.

Decades ago, I woke up one morning feeling like I wanted to stay in bed. I was so tired. I couldn’t think why. I hadn’t climbed a mountain, carried heavy loads, or run a marathon. But my body ached, and the spring had gone from my step.

What was the problem?

I thought long and hard, wondering whether I wasn’t eating energy-giving foods or treating my body well in other respects. However, upon reflection, my diet was impressive, and I exercised, so the issue was something else.

My emotional wellbeing had taken a knock, and I realized perhaps this had something to do with the vitality dip. I discovered I wasn’t taking as good care of my mental health as I was my physical wellness.
