The worlds of politics and entertainment are about to converge for Politicon and Brigade is excited to be part of this first ever unconventional political convention! The 100,000 square-foot event will take over the Los Angeles Convention Center Oct. 9–10, bringing together politicians, pundits, comedians and entertainers for a weekend of panels, podcasts, broadcasts, debates, art exhibitions, film screenings, musical performances and more.

Join us for “Hashtag Politics: Using Social Media and Apps In Campaigns and Advocacy” on Friday, Oct. 9 at 4 p.m. (Equality Hall, 515 A). The session will be moderated by Alice Ollstein of ThinkProgress and will feature Adam Conner, VP of Politics at Brigade; Mitchell Wynter, Head of Talent & Partnerships at Reddit; Emily Schwartz, Organizing Director at NationBuilder; and Nicco Mele, angel investor, author and Internet strategist. They’ll discuss of how online forums, apps and social media are being used in campaigns and social advocacy as we prepare for the 2016 election. Brigade will also have a booth in Democracy Village, Politicon’s action-packed central plaza, so swing by and say hello!
