The Target. The Oppressor. The Neighbor.
A play with three characters
There are three characters in this play.
The target.
The oppressor.
The neighbor.
The target knows full well this is happening. It is happening TO HER. It is happening to her friends, to other women she knows.
The oppressor knows full well this is happening. It is happening to the women in his path. Because he is the one doing it.
The neighbor hasn’t seen it happen. It’s most certainly not happening to him. And it doesn’t happen in front of him.
And look, maybe it DID happen, somewhere. Once or twice. But the neighbor is sure folks are exaggerating. And anyway, it’s none of his business. And it’s unpleasant.
The neighbor wishes these people would just calm down. He wishes they would just shut up.
This play needs a twist.
This play needs more characters.
