For 2018, we have two exciting open call opportunities for artists.

First up, we are once again partnering with Blast Theory to offer a 6-week residency at their studios in the run up to and during the Brighton Digital Festival (from August — October 2018).

This residency offers the successful applicant a range of invaluable opportunities including: accommodation for the duration of the residency, mentoring sessions, access to equipment and resources and professional advice.

Blast Theory Studios in Portslade

Our second open call opportunity is a co-commission between us and Spire Arts.

We have teamed up with our friends at Spire Arts to commission a piece of digital artwork/performance for the 2018 Brighton Digital Festival.

On offer to the successful artist includes: a commission of £3000, two weeks of research and development in The Spire’s amazing space and technical, planning and marketing support as well as inclusion in Brighton Digital Festival’s 2018 programme.
