As part of our Climate Action Bristol project, we try to share and celebrate other ways to get involved with climate justice. We believe it is important for everyone to engage with sustainability and work together to support Bristol and our community. With COP27 just ending, it is important to see what is happening in the world as well as what is occurring in Bristol.

Here are seven things going on currently you can engage with!

1. Festival of Sustainable Business

Discover, collaborate and innovate as we learn how businesses are leading the way in sustainability. Things are going on throughout 2023 to get involved with, so check out the Festival website today!

2. Attend a panel discussion on affecting change

On the 26th November, from 5–6:30pm, there will be a panel discussion featuring local experts from the environmental and energy sector. Join as they discuss how we can affect positive change in this time of climate and socio-economic crisis.

The panel includes green energy expert Prina Sumaria from Regen, performance artist, activist and founder of Invisible Circus Doug Francis, Benoit Bennett from Adblock Bristol and Carneigie long-listed author and University of Bristol academic Mimi Thebo.

3. Visit Create Bristol

Create Bristol hosts an ecohome and a series of events to help give you the tools to be more sustainable within your home. Currently they have:

  • A diverse Bristol creative writing group,
  • An exhibition by Hotwells and Cliftonwood Community Association,
  • The Transformabin project, with 14 unique community inspired projects by the Neighbourhood Partnerships.
