The relationship between Christ and the Rood in “The Dream of the Rood”

“the Dream of the Rood” was in a point of view within two perspectives, the rood and the man who is having the dream. What really stood out to me was how the rood’s perspective was so detailed. The Rood and Christ had the same “war-like experience” when “enemies” were torturing and mocking the both of them. The rood went through torment from the start of it being cut down and the suffering it had been through just as much as Christ did when he was hanging from nails.

With every downfall does come the healing. Christ and the rood both stood high as if they were both loyal to each other. Both the Rood and Christ are above all because of going through such indescribable pain. When Christ came back and was resurrected the rood was too but was dressed with gold and jewels.
