Stories are what help us to find commonality with others. When we tell stories, we are sharing emotions, and everybody can relate to them. We tell stories to make people laugh, to show that we are hurting, or simply for somebody else to learn from our mistakes. Stories are life experiences that an individual has and they are used to make sense of the world we live on, it does not matter the social class love feels the same, pain feels the same, we all feel sad, angry, or hungry just like in the Canterbury Tales, all the characters were from different social classes, they have different jobs or roles in life, but they have had similar experiences, and that is what relates them to each other. Stories can teach us about our culture, the language we speak, our ancestors, deceases and how to cure them, and even our food. Stories can be sing with music, they can be dance, illustrated, or written like poems. Stories are told to remember people and their journey, “in the end, we’ll become stories.” — Margaret Atwood.
