The Hidden London Hangouts team, in the previous episode, kicked off the eighth season, with a visit to the world-famous Earls Court Station. Where exactly did our favourite London Underground experts take us this time?

The second episode, having come to the London Transport Museum’s official YouTube channel on Saturday, 4 Nov. 2023, sees Chris Nix, Siddy Holloway, Laura Hilton-Brown, and Alex Grundon take viewers to another tube station that boasts an abundance of secrets.

Nix, Holloway, Hilton-Brown, and Grundon, with each of them having done their homework, reveals a lot of hidden secrets. Sloane Square Station, officially opened by the District Railway on Christmas Eve 1868, can now be found on the District line.

The opening of both Sloane Square Station and the first section of the District Railway’s line, between the South Kensington and Westminster stations, coincided perfectly. This was of course by design.
