I watched the movie Argylle so you don’t have to. If you want to waste 2 hours and 19 minutes of your life, by all means, settle in to watch this awful movie.

If you’re looking to save a couple of hours, give this movie a hard pass and keep scrolling for something better to stream.

The storyline is one any writer may fall in love with. A writer who lives life as a reclusive life with her cat, Alfie, and writes a series of books that become bestsellers.

The main character, Elly Conway, writes a series of spy crime books and believes she’s writing fiction, but she’s actually a real-life spy who has been retrained by the “enemy” in hopes of getting the secrets inside her head — her escapades as a secret agent.

Of course, Elly Conway has no idea what’s happening, who she’s really in love with, or who her parents really are.

She’s stupefied at the end of book five of her Argyle series, and her editor/mom/spy for the enemy volunteers to help her finish the ending so as not to let her readers down before Elly sends the manuscript off to the publisher.
