Honey tries to get Billy and Jay to put their differences aside

Thursday’s EastEnders opens with Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) irritated about Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) attending his daughter’s audition.

Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), p*ssed off with how the pair of them are behaving, decides to leave her daughter in their capable hands. This day is all about Janet Mitchell (Grace) not them. Janet, only interested in attending the audition, doesn’t seem to care about her parents fighting.

Funnily, just before Janet heads in for her audition, the casting director incorrectly assumes Billy and Jay are a couple. Seriously? Could you imagine Billy and Jay as a couple?

Elsewhere, when at work, Honey falls from a step-ladder and ends up in the local hospital. Billy and Jay, when they discover what happened to Honey, argue about which one of them should be at the hospital. Jay talks Billy into staying with Janet at the audition.

Jay texts Billy. Billy, not comprehending the text, gets frustrated because it is all emojis. Funnily, but not all that surprising, Billy is of a generation that prefers texts to contain words.
