Curiously, considering it is 2024 and not 1984, making the rest of the world wait when the domestic audience is being catered to first feels like a mistake.

Episodes in the UK, not really conforming to modern expectations of the available technology, will not drop on BBC iPlayer at midnight. It is scheduled to drop during a primetime slot. One would almost think the people at the BBC are still living in the late twentieth century.
