The Tower, directed by Jim Loach from a Kate London written book adatped to television by Patrick Harbinson, is an exceptional three part miniseries. The miniseries, an adaption of London’s Post Mortem, begins moments after a veteran police constable and a teenage girl fall to their deaths from a south-east London tower block.

Curiously, when Detective Sergeant Sarah Collins arrives on the scene, a five-year-old boy and rookie police constable Lizzie Adama is discovered on the tower block’s roof. Not long thereafter, with them vanishing without a trace, Collins is tasked with locating Lizzie and the boy before serious harm befalls them. Further, with help from DC Steve Bradshaw, Collins must also uncover the truth behind the grisly tower block deaths.
