“Whitstable Pearl” is the breath of fresh air police drama needed
Whitstable Pearl, created by series novelist Julie Wassmer, stars Kerry Godliman as the titular Pearl Nolan. Curiously, even though the drama garnered favourable ratings throughout the series six episode run, has not yet been picked up for a second series.
Godliman, best known for the television productions Damned, Bad Move, and Adult Material, has a well-established acting history stemming back to at least 1998. The crime drama, broadcast and produced by Acorn TV, also stars The Musketeers’ Howard Charles. Charles, playing DCI Michael “Mike” McGuire, possesses a diverse acting history.
