Rhode Island Microbiome Symposium is January 16–17 at URI
Please join us at the Rhode Island Microbiome Symposium at Avedisian Hall (College of Pharmacy) at the University of Rhode Island on Jan 16–17. The RI Microbiome Symposium seeks to bring together active and potential microbiome researchers from Rhode Island and the Northeast to network and present their research in the field of microbiomics.
The symposium will feature a poster session and reception, four themed sessions, and a core leaders lunch breakout session. We have two excellent keynote speakers scheduled, Dr. Tami Lieberman from MIT and Dr. Sarah Hird from the University of Connecticut. Themed sessions encompassing both biomedical and environmental microbiome topics include:
- Clinical Applications of the Microbiome
- The Microbiome and Antibiotic Resistance
- Non-Human Host Microbiomes
- Microbial Ecology (inc. Ocean Microbiomes, Biogeography and Environmental Microbiomes)
