Why are most chiropractors based in the US?

The simple truth behind the pain in your behind

It is really simple, the answer is badly designed furniture.

Americans are great at marketing old ideas in new packages. When did furniture stop being functional by nature that we needed ergonomic furniture? Was there a segment of consumers who went out of their way to purchase non-functional pieces of woodwork to display in their functional spaces at home or work? This whole concept of “ergonomics” is similar to the whole movement around “organic”, selling an original concept at a premium to the consumer.

What makes it even worse is that despite the re-packaging they do not come anywhere close to the benefits of the original. For example, take the new fad around Purple mattress, why do they cost over a grand? Apart from the retail pricing scam around mattress profit margins, the pure cost benefit of this investment is appalling. People all over the world have had healthy spines sleeping over traditional cotton mattresses on a simple wooden platform that cost less than $100, if not cheaper. One’s woes do not end with investing in an expensive mattress, the average American is now expected to invest in a bed to support the mattress and there again you have a buffet of non-functional options. Most prominent two options are box springs or wooden slats. Which idiots conceived these two ideas and why would you not first think of using a solid single piece of wood to start with before you start experimenting with improved models? After that add all the accessories like Chilipad and now you are easily sitting over a 2 grand investment.

This fraud is evident in every piece of home furniture including couches, no wonder chiropractors are having a field day. Current statistics are 70,000+ chiropractors in the US performing over a million adjustments everyday where most of these patients are desk workers. This country is expected to be the beacon holder of advancement but have not yet figured out basic functional design for every day use furniture. Should not the cost of manufacturing basic furniture be reducing over time? Until then I am importing all my furniture from my home country.
