Review: Bliss Batter Pancake and Waffle Mix

I tried the Bliss Batter pancake and waffle mix by Klean Plate and I’m never looking back.

To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first about trying the batter. I’ve had protein pancakes before and I’ve been less than impressed. They tend to leave you feeling too full since they can be on the heavier side. Then, when you’re laying down recovering from the food-coma, you still have all all those dishes to clean. That being said, Bliss Batter is the complete opposite.

Since it comes as a ready to pour batter, you can eliminate the extra step of mixing all the ingredients. They smell great while cooking, and you can use the batter to cook pancakes and/or waffles. They cook fairly quickly, so from fridge to plate it’s roughly a 5 minute process.

When it comes to taste, I expected them to be good but have a less than pleasing aftertaste similar to the other protein brands I’ve tried but, I was wrong. They were so good. I wasn’t planning on eating both pancakes I made but, spoiler alert: I did. They’re light, fluffy, and taste a little sweet. I usually like a little bit of syrup on my pancakes but I didn’t feel like I needed it eating these. They were really, really good on their own. The best thing about these pancakes is that I didn’t feel overly full when I ate them but I still felt satisfied for the rest of the night.
