> Tuesday, April 11 @ 5:30pm — Health & Human Services Committee

City Hall, Room 24 (basement, Myrtle Street side)

Key agenda items:

  • Vote on allowing homeless shelters to be built in more zones city-wide, and especially off-Peninsula near transit corridors. Public comment will be taken.
  • Discussion of a new ordinance regulating golf carts (most relevant to the Islands, I assume.) Public comment will not be taken on this topic yet.
  • Public hearing on the City’s noise ordinance.

Read the agenda and associated materials here.

> Thursday, April 13 @ 5:30pm — Finance Committee

City Hall, Room 209 (2nd floor, to the left)

  • No agenda is yet available for this meeting, however it is safe to assume that the main topic will be the proposed FY 18 (July-June) City Budget.

> Friday, April 14 @ 8am — Legislative Committee

City Hall, Room 209 (2nd floor, to the left)

  • This committee is charged with advancing council policy initiatives before federal, state, and regional governments. It is a joint meeting with City staff and elected officials together with members of the Portland delegation to the State Legislature. No public comment will be taken.
