> Tuesday, April 4 @ 5:30pm—Economic Development Committee

City Hall, Room 209 (2nd floor, to the left)

Key agenda items:

  • Discussion and vote to sell 6ish acres of unused, city-owned land in an industrial zone on Riverside Street to a developer. Public comment will be taken.
  • Vote to make minor changes to the lease of the Ocean Gateway ferry terminal to Bay Ferries, which operates the Cat. Public comment will be taken.

> Wednesday, April 5 @ 5pm — City Council Meeting

City Hall, Council Chambers (2nd floor, to the left)

Key agenda items:

  • The City Manager will propose his budget for the next fiscal year (which runs July-June), and the Mayor will comment on it. From here it is referred to the Finance Committee, then will come back to the full Council probably on May 15, 2017. Public comment will be taken.
  • Final votes on the proposed CDBG and Capital Improvement Plan budgets, which were postponed from the previous meeting. Public comment will be taken.
  • Vote on whether to send a question to voters to approve a $64-million bond to repair four elementary schools. As has been reported, the Council will put two questions to voters: a $64-million bond for four schools (supported by Councilors Batson, Costa, Brenerman, Ali, and Thibodeau, and Mayor Strimling), and a $32-million dollar bond for two schools (supported by Councilors Mavodones, Ray, and Duson). Public comment might be taken? Not sure.

> Thursday, April 6 @ 5pm — Finance Committee

City Hall, Room 209 (2nd floor, to the left)

Key agenda items:

  • The School Board will present their proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2018 (July 2017-June 2018). Not sure if there’s public comment for this.
  • The City Manager will present his proposed City budget for Fiscal Year 2018 (July 2017-June 2018). No public comment will be taken.
