Public hearings on the proposed FY2018 City Budget and School Department budget, and a 100% clean energy goal.


> Monday, May 1 @ 5pm — City Council Meeting

Key agenda items:

  • Vote on setting the goal of using 100% clean energy in City of Portland operations by 2040. Public comment will be taken.
  • Vote on a proposed extension on the moratorium on marijuana establishments and social clubs, so that the State of Maine can clarify its regulations relating to the marijuana legalization referendum last November. The moratorium would last until November 3, 2017. Public comment will be taken.
  • Public hearing for the School Department budget for Fiscal Year 2018 (July-June). The Council will vote on the school budget on May 15, and the public will vote on it on June 13.
