Camp Registration Case Study — Youth America Summer Camps
We are proud to highlight Youth America (in Oklahoma, United States) who has been reaching the next generation through their progressive, energetic summer camps and ministry programs since 1987.

We spoke with Lindsey Baldwin, Communications Director at Youth America and asked her a few questions about Youth America’s experience with Brushfire.
What are 3 or 4 keywords that describe the cornerstone of your organization’s partnership, your team’s experience and your relationship with Brushfire?
Brushfire is user-friendly and customizable. Brushfire offers great value, and is a Game-Changer for small teams carrying out big missions and events. It’s like adding staff and resources to your efforts!
Briefly describe your organization’s history and relationship with Brushfire.
We started using Brushfire back in 2014, after years of keeping manual spreadsheets for registrations and managing mailed-in checks. Brushfire instantly became a game changer for our team, especially since we have churches that come to our camp, conference, and college from across the country and we now process over 6,500 registrations in a year. That is a lot to manually manage for our small team! We have since utilized Brushfire for a variety of events, both big and small.
How would you describe the impact and importance of your organization’s work with specific reference to your summer camps?
Our calling as Youth America is to build next generation churches and leaders. We ourselves are a local church, we love the local church, and believe 100% that it is the hope and the answer for our world. The next generation can and will change the world, and we want to play our part in equipping, resourcing, encouraging, and training them! We feel that in some ways that we can carry out the calling that God has given us is to host our annual youth summer camps, leadership conference in the fall, and beyond.

How do you feel about the access to technology and service Brushfire provides to your organization?
Our registration team is small and each of us have much responsibility with our local church beyond just registration for our events. We are a small staff taking on a big mission. Brushfire has allowed our small team to do big things by exponentially increasing our efficiency and systems so that we can focus on accomplishing the mission of our church in greater ways!
We can receive payments instantly online and all of our data is in a centralized, searchable structure. The reporting capabilities have revolutionized how we communicate with our registrants, how we collect data for research, and how we follow up with our customers (not to mention the fact that making a report is easy to do!). Also, the Brushfire support staff are incredible! When we do need assistance, the team is quick to respond and they always go the extra mile to help solve our problem. The team has even programmed new things into the system to help accomplish our registration needs and goals. They listen to our feedback and are always evolving the system!
Is there anything you would like to add?
Brushfire has been a game-changer for our organization. Adding Brushfire was like adding more staff and resources to what we do! We believe in Brushfire, and we highly recommend it to people in our network and churches that we consult with.
