Simple Explanation about AWS Certification

Associate (SAA) showcases knowledge and skills in AWS technology across a wide range of AWS services. The focus of this certification is on the design of cost and performance optimized solutions, demonstrating a strong understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

according to the AWS statement, this certification is recommended for you who have experience in AWS one or more years. But if you are fresh on AWS and willing to take this exam you can take this exam as possible.

To pass the exam you must have a minimum score of 720. This exam provides 120 minutes to answer 60 questions in multiple choice and multiple responses. if you are not a native speaker of English you can take exam accommodation to get additional time (+30 Minutes).

My History in AWS and AWS Certification

I just finished this exam in July 2022 (SAA-C02), before I also take AWS certification Cloud Practitioner (CLF) in May 2022 with a score of 800+. On 30 August 2022 AWS SAA Exam was updated their version to (SAA-C03).

Preparation

For the preparation, I take courses for AWS Cloud Architecting and AWS Cloud Practitioner provided by AWS Training and Certification with collaboration from the Ministry of ICT Indonesia from the programs Digital Talent Scholarship. Fyi, digitalent is a nice program that can build digital skills for Indonesian generation. If you are interested to join this program you can follow digitalent instagram or visit their website at https://digitalent.kominfo.go.id/. From this course, I can learn about theory of AWS and can do hands-on lab in a real AWS environment.

Moreover, I learn from the AWS course, I take example question exams from websites like AWSBOY, ExamTopic, and many websites that provide free sample questions for you to practice.

On Exam

I take the exam with PearsonVue selection, with PearsonVue you can take the exam at office or your comfort home, but the disadvantage of this type is the proctor is very strict. I suggest you don’t break a rule for the exam from home, because if your proctor suspects you of cheating, the proctor can cancel exam at that time. Another option is take exam offline at Test Center, better to take AWS exam at Test Center. With 135 Minutes i have read the question for two times to make sure that my naswer is true, because for the question isn’t very hard but you must have precision to read word by word question to get true meaning of question.

After Exam

After submitting your exam you can know if your result is PASS or FAIL directly submit for AWS Cloud Practitioner. But you can’t know directly for results of AWS Solutions Architect, you can know your result 1x24 Hours after finishing the exam.
