BTNG Hackathon 2019 has been made possible by the contribution and efforts of a wide range of people and organisations joined by the singular vision that together we can make a difference to mitigate the impact of brain-drain.

The two days hackathon kicks off tomorrow August 3rd at the Microsoft Reactor and we’re grateful for the following Mentors, Judges, and Sponsors:

Any hackathon aficionado would tell you that the quality of the hacks can be directly linked to the quality of mentor-ship available during the event. We agree. Judges

The enviable (or unenviable — depending on how you look at it) task of deciding the winners and runner-up’s of the BTNG Hackathon 2019 falls on the following:

Nzube Ufodike: Nzube is an entrepreneur and adviser to early and growth stage businesses, primarily in the FinTech sector, in the UK and emerging markets. Currently, he is a director at Aurora Equity Partners, and an investment manager for a corporate accelerator. Previously, he led Strategic Partnerships and was a Digital Product Owner for an award winning technology vendor to the wealth management industry. Before that, he was part of a team at UBS SmartWealth that built and launched the UK’s first FCA regulated robo-advisor, focused on the mass affluent wealth segment.

Gideonwa Nwawudu: Gide is an experienced developer having over fifteen years’ experience in finance and IT. As a Software engineer, he previously worked at Reuters, a FTSE 100 company, developing monitoring systems for real-time data delivery. Also worked at one of the worlds largest hedge funds (Millennium Capital) as the VP EMEA Trading. Gide holds a MSc in Advanced Information Systems from Birkbeck, and a BSc in Computer Science from Aston University.

Frédéric Nze: Frédéric is the CEO and Co-founder of Oakam and has played as the architect for the product design, the risk/data science approach and the service model. He has spent all his career in data science (defence & consumer lending) working for American Express, GE Capital and Barclays Bank. He set up a Risk/Data Analytics boutique — Euristix — which was sold to Capita. Frédéric holds an MSc in Mathematics and Econometrics from ENSAE Paris-Tech and an Exec MBA from INSEAD

Aminata Ba: Aminata is a French qualified lawyer, Member of the Paris Bar. Practicing in-house or in private practice, she has been advising national and international companies on commercial issues and corporate matters. Beside negotiating contracts, she has a built a solid experience on dispute resolution, by working on various litigation and arbitration cases. Aminata has been volunteering by providing legal support to a French association helping discriminated binational couples. She is now coordinating and legally supporting the social business Project Embrace, promoting diversity representation in the media.

Cyprian Njamma: Cyprian serves as a Director for the Institutional Advisory Team at SEI, where he is responsible for formulating and delivering strategic investment advice to pension schemes and charities throughout the UK and Europe. Prior to SEI, Cyprian spent three years as an Investment Analyst at Mercer, where he was responsible for the delivery of investment advice to trustees of UK pension schemes. He holds a Master of Physics, with Honours from University of Oxford and a Master of Science in Actuarial Finance from Imperial College London.
