Are you confident in your country’s CBDC development?

While CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) research and reviews are being intensified, digital asset users are still taking a somewhat reserved stance on CBDC.

A recent Dove Wallet survey of 4,829 users worldwide, asking ‘how much confidence they have in the development of CBDC,’ 45% of all respondents said ‘they don’t know.’ In contrast, 40% expressed a supportive stance on the development of CBDC, and 15% said they do not have confidence.

According to the country-specific survey results, users from the country that is actively preparing to introduce its central bank-led digital currency also showed a high confidence level in CBDC, such as China. A whopping 58% of users from China expressed their supportive views in the CBDC. Users from Algeria, one of the countries known for the strict regulations on digital asset uses, also showed a high confidence level with 62%. On the other, 26% of Italian users said ‘no confidence’ in CBDC, while 24% said they were confident, most skeptical about CBDC development relatively.
