Bubblo Takes its SF Interns Out to Eat at Mikkeller.

With an unprecedened selection of beers and sausages, Mikellar makes for an awesome lunch, dinner, or after work drinks spot. Being somewhat of a cider snob myself, there was a unique selection of bottles to choose from.
We ordered the bacon wrapped sausages as an appetizer, and were happy to see they came out as a gratuitous portion for a pretty reasonable price, $13.
Everyone on our team got the salad with avocado and chicken as the main course.
The food and the beer came out quickly, and the service was friendly. Sausages are definitely the house specialty, so we made a point to order a few. They initially told us it would be a 30-minute wait for a table, but we were seated after 10–15 minutes. Either way, I would recommend making a reservation as the place was packed.
The atmosphere is evening mood lighting with a mostly wood decor. You have the option to sit in a diner booth, at the bar, or in lounges by the entrance. The building is very open: natural sunlight shows decal graffiti on the walls by the entrance, while brick walls surround the bar in the back.
The location is “downtown” relative to the city of SF, off Market Street, making it easily accessible from train and public transport. Since it is near the financial district, I would imagine it draws a large crowd during after work hours and at lunch. If you were to go during “off-peak” hours it would not be as packed.
Overall I’d say 4/5 stars. $$
