  1. Wake up and get some dim sum—try Luk Yu Tea House in Central. Point at whatever looks tasty!
  2. Hop on a minibus to Stanley, where you can sunbathe on the beach and then check out Stanley Market.
  3. Take the Star Ferry to the new territories in Kowloon and stop in Sha Tin to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery where, you guessed it, more than 10,000 Buddha statues in various expressions and positions dot the verdant landscape. Wear sneakers—there are lots of steps!
  4. Head to the Avenue of the Stars for the 8 p.m. lightshow, “ A Symphony of Lights,” which illuminates some of Hong Kong Island’s tallest skyscrapers while synchronized music plays.
  5. Pop into the Peninsula Hotel—a Hong Kong landmark—for a classy ass dinner at the fancy buffet.
  6. Take the ferry back to Hong Kong Island and get ready for a night on the town. Head to Lan Kwai Fong for some popular ex-pat hang outs OR take the road less traveled and go to the Old China Hand in Wan Chai—it’s gross!
  7. Feelin’ hungry in the wee hours of the morning? Have a kabob or some street food and then pass out face-first in your pillow.
