Lock Your Friends in an Escape Room — Game Night Idea

Maybe this title is too strong. We don’t actually want you to lock your friends in a room. What we meant is for you and your friends to all be locked in a room.

In case you are not familiar with this experience, there are Escape Room centres that offer this game. It’s an interactive activity that promises to make you feel like a detective.

You and your group will have to solve puzzles and riddles with the help of some hints. The prize? Freeing yourselves from the room. Otherwise, you’ll stay there forever.

JOKING! If you and your group don’t manage to find the key to lock yourselves out, you’ll be able to leave by the time the centre closes. These centres normally have a maximum time limit you can spend in the room so you’ll get back home safe and sound.

Why you should try it?

  • It’s a different experience from your traditional game night.
  • There are plenty of themes to pick from! If you would like to solve a murder, there are centres that offer this theme. If you’re into zombies, you will find this topic too!
  • It’s fun exercising for your brain. Remember that your brain also needs training, we are too comfortable Googling everything nowadays. Let’s give that brain of yours some mystery for it to solve.
  • It’s time you spend away from screens. Let’s see if we can guess most of your day. You wake up, you check the news on your phone. Then you start your work probably using a computer. Then it’s lunchtime, so you watch a show while you eat. Back to work. Finally, you relax at the end of the day by watching a documentary…
  • You’ll get stronger bonds with your friends! Apart from being a new wonderful memory, it would be a hypothetical“life or death” situation that you’ll share.
  • You’ll relieve some stress. Time with friends is always nice. Quality time with friends it’s even better!

So there you go!

We hope we convinced you to try this out with some friends and have an unforgettable experience with them!
