Running Alternatives for the “I don’t run”
Running has many health benefits. Plus, it gives you the extra reward of a stronger body. However, you might not be a runner and that’s OK. There are other exercises you can do and still get the same benefits of running!
Home running alternatives
Here’s a workout for you:
- 20 jumping jacks
- 20 high knee marches
- 20 butt kickers
- 15 squat jumps
- 10 push-ups
- 20 mountain climbers
- 10 plyo lunges
- 10 burpees (evil creation)
Repeat!
Remember to treat your mind and body for yourself and not because you feel you have to. Don’t go into running even though you hate it just because that’s what healthy people “are meant to do”.
In case you were wondering if all of this jumping is necessary, well… jumping forces your body to use more muscles. Then, you’ll be burning more fat. Yheii!
Gym/Outdoors running alternatives
- Bike intervals: no stairs for a week after trying this for the first time…
- Rowing: if you have long hair you probably won’t be brushing it for a while...
- Swimming: you’ll definitely appreciate your lungs more often…
- Jumping Rope: like the old times!
We hope these are useful to you and help you build a stronger and healthier body!
These will be challenging, especially during the first few times, so why not trying it out with a friend? Friends make everything less boring!
