Error parsing JSON: invalid character ‘“‘ after object key:value pair

Extra quotes where they don’t belong in a Packer template

Got this error when I had a quote “ after a curly brace} and should not have like this:

{
"key": "value",
"key2": "value"
}"

Remove the extraneous quotes.

{
"key": "value",
"key2": "value"
}
