What’s Inside An Architecture Student’s Bag?

(There is a big chance you don’t know what I’m talking about, but that’s perfectly okay!) What’s Inside An Architecture Student’s Bag (PLM)?
We have Maan, 5th Year BS Architecture student from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, who volunteered to give us a peek inside her bag. She told us she likes to sketch a lot “anywhere, anytime”, and has habit of hoarding sketchpads and journals (but leaves most of them half-empty lol). She’s an active student, evident when she took position as Public Relations Officer on her third year and as Vice President the year after in the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP) Student Council. Currently, she’s a member of the PLM Iskolars Dance Incorporated.
THE BAG:

This is the Samsonite Y Series Backpack YB600, and Maan tells us a few reasons why she loves this bag. For someone who carries a large laptop (needed to properly render 3D models/images), this spacious “black hole” of a bag is a definite must-have. The compartments help her stay organized. “It’s tough,” she says, “I need something as heavy-duty as this because I bring too many things even on ordinary non-design days.” And even though the bag might be a little big, Maan gives it five stars for comfort. :D

These are the things she brings to class whenever they have plates or esquisse to submit (usually on a design day), and she only removes the markers(6), drafting tools(14), and some of her drawing pens on non-design days.

Maan: Long Clearbook. THESIS. All the research and documents we obtain go right here.
“Marami talagang dinadala,” Maan comments, “Drafting tools, rendering tools, bukod pa ang minor subject materials. Lalo na kapag lower year, may PE pa. Kaya gigantic ang mga bag ng arki. Pag higher year ka na mas maliit na!” (note that Maan is already a super senior)
When asked about what makes Architecture in PLM different from bigger schools, she said “Well-trained sa manual way of doing plates. And more on practicality sa class.”
Q: Anything you want to say to other college students?
Maan: Quality is more important than quantity.
