Project I Am Proudest of

In college, I was part of the founding team that established UVA’s Mixed Race Student Coalition, a multicultural organization that fosters belonging for multi-ethnic and multiracial people in the Charlottesville community. My impact has built a world where mixed-race students can exist as whole persons, have the right to self-definition and can embrace multiple identities. Here, mixed students don’t need to answer the anticipated “What are you?” question or have someone categorize them according to different racial stereotypes. They can exist as who they feel they truly are. Upon graduating from UVA this past May, we had over 300 members.

Areas of Interest

  • Consulting
  • Diverse applications of new technology
  • Languages and linguistic diversity
  • Brand building and creative direction
  • Financial inclusion

Questions I Am Trying to Answer this Summer/Fall

  • How can we better understand underrepresented and underserved communities in clinical trials to facilitate better health outcomes for them?
  • How should a brand make someone feel, how can a culturally-inspired brand pay homage to its history while creating a product that is universally understood and appealing?

What Keeps You Up at Night?

What keeps me up at night is the thought of missed opportunities and untapped potential. The fear of not fully utilizing my skills and passions, and not making a positive impact in the world, drives me to constantly seek growth and push beyond my comfort zone.
