Have you noticed that your digital life is often much more rewarding than your digital work? If you use Facebook, chances are good that you haven’t shared a photo with anyone with an e-mail attachment in quite some time. No doubt you have benefited at some point from Google Maps giving you directions to a restaurant you found on Yelp, pinned to your Pinterest board, and made reservations to on Urbanspoon. And not once you had to wonder if the information was up to date, or if you were looking at the current version of the map. How sure are you that the RFI on your desk has not been superseded? Is there a new ASI that you might have missed?

Ever ordered anything on Amazon? Sure you have. Was that hard? How about ordering a circular saw for your project from your equipment yard? Not so good?

Well, I’m no different than you and I’ve certainly noticed that my mood takes a dive when I get to work on Monday morning and I am faced with e-mail attachments, spreadsheets, and files in arbitrary folders. Or having to work with enterprise systems built on decade’s old technology, with interfaces as user friendly as an Eastern European bureaucrat.

Sure, there are solutions out there, but they are either too focused on one thing and fragment your data, or they are way to expensive for all but the largest of companies. What, you are not working on a $1bn. IPD hospital? Me neither.

Necessity being the mother of invention, I headed down to the second ever AEC Hackathon in Menlo Park, CA. Back in 2014. At that event, full of hopeful energy is where I aired my grievances and was immediately approached by Vishal Porwal who offered to help. Vishal and his team had the same challenges, and we quickly bonded over a shared philosophy.

Well, three years on, and we find ourselves with a robust platform that was born out of that necessity. Designed to leverage social media-like behaviors and feel natural and friendly. More importantly, to be a hub of not just the information, but the conversations and context around it, thereby converting that information into knowledge.

To top that, it’s is priced at well under an hour’s worth of a PE’s billable rate per month(1), and more importantly, external users are free. That translates to an unbeatable Return On Investment. If you can save one hour per week using Builderbox, your ROI would be over 500%(2). I look forward to personally showing you how you can save much more than that.

(2) Your ROI will vary based on billable rate of course.
