ChainShot presenting at EDCON

We were excited to attend EDCON this year where we saw vast contributions in action across the Ethereum ecosystem. Despite only managing to snag an hour of sleep before the flight Thursday morning I was completely engaged that entire day of the conference. Perhaps I managed to catch a second wind just beyond the point of sleep deprivation, but I’m more inclined to believe I was energized by the talks which echoed sentiments I deeply agree with.

Among those sentiments there certainly was a sense of action, almost urgency, in the air. There’s so much to be built in the Ethereum space and no better time to start seizing those opportunities than right now. There were presentations from both the Ethereum Community Fund and Ethereum Foundation that are setup to provide developers with adequate resources in order to begin building projects that benefit the ecosystem. There were also presentations about scaling decentralized applications with state channels and plasma side chains; the emphasis was that we should not wait to begin building.

The beautiful thing about having a general-purpose blockchain is that it really frees up the ability to make transactions that would otherwise difficult to do. Something that is easily built on Ethereum, such as an Escrow, can serve as the transactional layer to various different user-facing applications. Heck, an Escrow can even be a business itself. It’s why we decided that creating an Escrow with a working front-end would be the first module we write for ChainShot. Learn how to build it today!

Launch your Decentralized Application today

The tagline for EDCON was Never Forget Why You Started. We started ChainShot because we want to help web developers launch their next big project on the blockchain. We’ve created content that will walk you through the process of securely creating the key parts of a decentralized web application in-browser, then enable you to pull that source code down locally into a framework of your choice. Instead of HODLing a coin and expecting it to moon, start BUIDLing your project today and shoot for the moon! We’ll help you get there.
