Since the day we launched Circle there have been a handful of consistent requests from our amazing users. Over the last few months we’ve been hard at work to deliver on that list of requests, and even add a few gems of our own into the mix.
Today, we’re excited to announce the release of 1.3 which includes the highly anticipated Circle Go, Circle Home on Android, and our new MyCircle App.
Meet Circle Go
Ever wish you could manage your kid’s device wherever it went? Now you can extend Circle’s settings anywhere with Circle Go. All your favorite Circle features are now on 4G and any other network they join.
Features like Filters and Time Limits apply anywhere and everywhere, even for apps like Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube. 👻📷📺
MyCircle is the perfect companion to Circle Go
Circle Go installs a VPN to your kid’s mobile device using a new app we’re releasing called MyCircle.
Besides being the method for installing Circle Go on mobile devices, MyCircle is also an app that’s personalized for every member of the family. Any member of the family can download the MyCircle App to their device. There, they can access a plethora of curated Disney content, enjoy their own personal dashboard and receive notifications when Time Limits are met, BedTimes are here, or if their device has been paused.
Whether you have Circle or Circle Go, MyCircle is an awesome app for every family member to download on their own devices!
Circle Home on Android
Right alongside the requests for Circle Go has been the overwhelming demand for the ability to set up & manage Circle from an Android device.
Today, we’re excited to announce Circle Home is now available in the Google Play store! Parents are now able to Pause devices, set Time Limits and Bed Times from their favorite Android devices.
1.3 Firmware Updates — Because we’re always working to improve Circle
Along with releasing Circle Go, MyCircle and Circle Home on Android we’ve also released some nifty Firmware Updates:
- Added tracking of Bungie games 🎮
- Improved the detection & tracking of games 🕑
- Added SafeSearch on msn.com 🔍
- Improved various security measures 🔐
- Added extender support 👍
- Added IPv6 support 💻
