The manual I never had

Fatherhood - like so much about our gender driven society - is being redefined in real time around us. There is no bible, there is no manual, and there is very little written that comes from personal experience as opposed to the thoughts of some therapist who has self-proclaimed their expertise.

In that vein, I’d like to write about rebuilding the definition of fatherhood through the lens of my own experience learning not only how to build a family, but a life and a career in parallel.

This will not be

• By any accounts the thoughts of someone who thinks they know what they are doing
• Anything but an opportunity to start a dialogue with a wider audience
• A success unless it ends with an immense amount of fun
