In July I had the honor of speaking at 360|AnDev, a technical Android developers conference. This is one of my favorite Android conferences, and I was so excited to be back for a second time after giving the day 2 keynote at last year’s event. The content is always top notch, the organizers are experienced, and fellow attendees are interesting and friendly. Perhaps best of all, the conference is in Denver, Colorado just a few steps away from Ibotta HQ!

Swag from the 360|AnDev Conference

I gave a talk about the Android Support Libraries, a group of handy libraries that should be in every Android developer’s toolbox. When a new feature is released on Android, it usually isn’t backwards compatible right away, but Google’s support libraries allow you to implement a wide range of newer features on older devices.

The libraries are ever changing, and it can be difficult to keep up with new features, and updates to older features, so I decided to write this talk as a “latest and greatest” overview of these libraries.

You can check out my talk here.
