Hello Internet!

At Nubank, we’ve been hard at work over the past four years building a greenfield digital bank. We started off with a “digital” credit card product, and are now diversifying into a broader set of services and scaling to millions of active customers.

We have learned many lessons along the way, but we’ve been pretty quiet about it until now. Our goal with this blog is to start contributing back to the communities that have supported us, and also to help a broader audience understand our culture and mission to fight complexity and empower people with a new generation of financial services. We are also very excited to hear from readers and learn from your comments and feedback.

Our choice of the title “Building Nubank” reflects a desire to be inclusive, acknowledging that developing an excellent product requires a great deal of cross-functional collaboration. As with most of our product “launches”, this is actually a minimum viable starting place upon which we’ll iterate over time; we are very excited to be taking the first step today!
