December Update

Capping our first year with powerful tools to manage your site.

We spent December beefing up the product around our site builder. In other words, we upgraded the tools to manage, track, and update your sites. Here’s what we shipped:

Track Views

One of our top requested features is the ability to see how many views your site gets. Our latest update, 1.9.0, introduces just that. To get started, subscribe for $2.99 per month (with a 7-day free trial) and you’ll immediately see how your site is performing. Jump between months and drag your finger over the graph to see daily data.

You can grab the latest update here.

A New Site Dashboard

Views lives in the brand new Site Dashboard—your command center to manage, track, and update your site. Beyond Views, we added another much-requested feature: the ability to change your site’s metadata, otherwise known as the title and description that show on Google, Facebook, and Twitter.

Keep an eye on this space. You can expect the Dashboard to grow as we evolve what’s possible with your site.

Customize Sticker

The new site management features build on our earlier December release, allowing you to customize the sticker on your site (the little badge that sits on the bottom of your page). Changing your sticker is just like editing a block: a palette comes up, you scroll, it changes. You can also now remove the sticker entirely for $2.99 per month.

A Lá Carte Subscriptions

We added two additional subscriptions this past month. Instead of having monolithic subscription packages like “Pro” and “Gold,” we’re experimenting with an a lá carte approach, where you pick the features you want and build your own monthly subscription. This way you only pay for the features you need.

We’re going to continue to roll out new subscriptions as we tinker with our business model and find a solution that can be sustainable for us and aligned with our customers.

This update rounds out a very successful year for us. Believe it or not, we only started working on this app in January. We launched soon after, in March, and since then we’ve seen over 50,000 sites created. The outpouring of creativity that we’ve seen confirms our thesis: when you make it easy for anyone to create the web, the resulting diversity is staggering—and inspiring. The internet is a more powerful place when it’s shaped by us all.

The past year marked our first chapter in that pursuit. We’re going to take a big step forward in 2018. More to come.
