How and where can we register on the electoral rolls?

Registrations on the electoral rolls for the year 2017 will close on August 31st. We then have less than three (3) months to make sure our votes count for the major deadlines (municipal, legislative, senatorial and presidential elections) that will take place in our country, starting next year.

The voter’s registration process is quite simple: it only takes five (5) minutes! To do so, you just have to go to the ELECAM council branch corresponding to your place of residence, with your national identity card. Upon your arrival, an agent will take your fingerprints and a picture, and will issue you a receipt displaying your civil information. Two to three months after your registration, you will receive a text message informing you of the availability of your voter registration card, which you will be able to withdraw with your previously issued receipt.

ELECAM council branches are opened during the week, from Monday to Friday, and from 7.30am to 3.00pm. The following link shows the location of these branches in the ten regions of Cameroon: http://www.elecam.cm/en/contact-us/the-branches.html

If you live abroad, you must register with the diplomatic mission of Cameroon (embassy and consulate) in your country of residence.

Our country’s future depends on each of its citizen’s choice. Let’s then register on the electoral rolls and convince our entourage of the necessity to do the same.
