Watch: Lyft to Shutdown in California After Tonight

Following a judge’s order for Lyft and Uber to classify their drivers as employees by tonight, Lyft has decided to suspend operations in California, presumably until the general elections in November.

As a result of the Assembly Bill 5 and the court case that followed, a judge has ordered Uber and Lyft ($LFYT) to classify their drivers as employees instead of independent contractors.
