I love quotes. They’re like mind snacks for better living. There are days when I want a mental pick me up or perspective shift.

These days, I don’t have the headspace or energy to dive into a self-help or personal growth book. Or even a motivational podcast. I find these are the days when a quotes slots right in like a well-fitting glove. Effortless and apt.

In my lifetime I must have read thousands, if not tens of thousands of quotes. I can’t get enough of them. I’ve even tried my hand at writing a few of these, in the form of aphorisms.

In the online world of meaningless memes, so-called funny cat videos, and other trivia. It’s refreshing when I get a picture of a quote from a friend or colleague, that sparks something within me.

The right quote can change the direction of your day

I’ve had instances when a single quote has been the catalyst to a more empowered or present day. God knows we all need more of that. Especially as writers or creatives.

Mornings are special times. A time to ignite the engine of productivity in our lives, and set our focus for the day. I find quotes with themes of inspiration, positive focus, and dreams.

They rev up my personal power to seize the day- Carpe diem as the poet and stoic Horace would say.

As creatives, it’s necessary we renew our minds with mental gems. That empowers us to create with more focus, energy, and passion. Reading quotes is one way to do this.

Quotes are like mind gems.

Reading quotes, and aphorisms are easy ways to refresh our minds. Regain one’s focus. And micro-learn deep insights from great creative minds. We might not have the time to plunge into a book, listen to a podcast, or even read an article. Still, most of us can spare a few seconds to indulge in a quality quote.

I find reading quotes daily, help me step up my creative game. Quotes bring fresh perspectives to my thinking process. They can also be a valuable source of inspiration in dire times. As writers, we certainly have those times!

For writing and creative inspiration I find quotes on philosophy, writing, stoicism, and the creative process invaluable. Even quotes from the personal development arena, and cheezy motivational quotes. Can all serve to give me a mind-boost to steer me in a creative direction

Here are some quotes to seize the day for creatives

Make your day a little more powerful with quotes

I hope as you’ve read these quotes you permit yourself to smile a little. Dream with a little more courage. Act with a little more faith this day. I hope you give yourself permission to craft your day to your pleasing. Enjoy life. And relish the gifts of this day. For which there are plenty.

In conclusion, I’ll throw in a quote of mine, because why not?
