Good movies are a treat to watch. And this treat becomes twice as yum when you know it has a sequel and that sequel will be coming out soon.
2017 is going to be a great year for movie lovers. With plenty of sequels of great movies set to release this year, we can hardly wait. Let’s prioritize now and take a look at the best sequels coming in 2017.
1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is one of the most anticipated films of 2017. From the trailer it can be safe assume that this sequel is set to surpass it’s predecessor film, and the best part is probably the baby Groot
2. Set after the events of Prometheus, Alien: Covenant is set to release as a “prequel sequel.” Even though the audience can guess that this is another alien horror movie, what the actual plot has in store for us is something we’ll have to wait and see
3. The fifth installment in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is coming after a six-year hiatus. Captain Jack Sparrow is all set to take over the sea, but not in his trusted Black Pearl, but in a new ship, The Dying Gull
4. The Transformers franchise is all set to cash on earlier success with The Last Knight, where Michael Bay returns as the director for one final time
5. War for the Planet of the Apes is on a right path of following the relationship between man and apes, love to immense hatred, and set to unfurl a bi-species war to determine the rightful heirs of planet Earth

6. Blade Runner 2049 is the sequel of the cult Harrison Ford movie Blade Runner where he is reprising his role as Rick Deckard, the former blade runner and LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) is on a mission to track him down
7. Taron Edgerton’s ‘Eggsy’ is coming back again with all his British cockyness and well-fitted suit in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the next sequel in the Kingsman series, and will be joined by Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Pedro Pascal and Halle Berry
8. Dr. Strange is going to make an appearance in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, because Thor needs rescuing from where he’s been locked away and Asgard is in danger because of the impending “Ragnarok”
9. After two decades, under director Jake Kasdan,the sequel Jumanji is all set to come back with a bang, where four teenagers try to play the dangerous game, and get pulled into the world of Jumanji
10. The Force Awakens sequel Star Wars Episode VIII is undoubtedly the most anticipated sequel of all, especially since the Rogue One has set the bar real high
