He cooks…
Amazing

After a month, I joined him for a family baptism. Meeting his family — that’s a step. The only sister he still talks to pulls me aside, “What the hell do you see in him?”

Wait, what do I see in him? Is she trying to tell me something? She wiped her mouth with a red napkin and I wondered, “Am I missing something?”

“Well,” I told her, “He’s funny. He’s charming. He makes me herb tea and cooks his own soups! That is just so kind and nurturing!” She held my gaze, as if to give me time to reconsider. “Why do women like him so much?” she asked. I laughed. I thought she’d be happy her brother got such a great new girlfriend. Blah, blah, blah, blind.
