Monday

Dear Diary,

It’s Day One of this epic snowstorm but thank goodness, my new Instant Pot just arrived and I managed to get to the supermarket last night! I am ready to cook!

Tuesday

Well, today I made hard-boiled eggs in my Instant Pot. It only took 5 minutes! I found the yolks to be ever so slightly undercooked, but I’ll continue to tinker. Not bad for my first time with the Instant Pot, right?!

Wednesday

I made steel-cut oats in the Instant Pot! They were so delicious — and healthy! Then I went down a rabbit hole of reading articles, blogs, and recipes for the Instant Pot. I’m obsessed! But so is the rest of the country, apparently.

Thursday

Dearest Diary, did you know you can cook beans in the Instant Pot without even soaking them first? Of course you didn’t, because you’re an inanimate object. But I digress. Today I made split-pea soup in the Instant Pot. Verdict: Amaze-balls.

Friday

I made an entire chicken in the Instant Pot! It was awesome.

Saturday

I made ramen soup with pork. Then I added some soft-boiled eggs. I learned after my first eggs-periment and now I think I’ve got it down.

Sunday

You can make your own yogurt in the Instant Pot! Today I made 12 gallons of yogurt. Probiotics ahoy!

Monday

Well, I can’t believe I’ve been snowed in for a week. I haven’t run out of groceries yet, thank goodness, but I am starting to run low so I’ll have to get creative. I had some frozen salmon in the freezer, so I made salmon in my Instant Pot. I didn’t even have to thaw it before cooking. Still in love with that gadget!!

Tuesday

I am beginning to run out of food for real now, and wondering if my cat will fit into the Instant Pot.

Wednesday

Today I cut off a chunk of my own hair and used it to make stew in the Instant Pot. It wasn’t all that bad.

Thursday

So today my mom called and I told her I couldn’t believe that I’ve been snowed in since last Monday. She asked me what I was talking about. She said it didn’t even snow that much.

Friday

I just put water in the instant pot and then flavored it with a few drops of my own blood. Then I cooked it on “high pressure” for 666 minutes. So good — and easy!

Saturday

I’m going to start a blog about my Instant Pot adventures! I’ll call it Adventures in Pot.

Sunday

ALL WOK AND NO POT MAKES JANE A DULL GIRL. ALL WOK AND NO POT MAKES JANE A DULL GIRL. ALL WOK AND NO POT MAKES JANE A DULL GIRL.
