Obama: “You Voted Me into Office. Now, Please Vote for Me in This Kodak-Sponsored Photo Contest.”
Nation’s outgoing leader reminds Facebook friends that they can vote up to five times a day from one IP address
Before jumping into a moving van idling outside of 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue, Obama took to his newly reactivated Facebook account to ask his friends to again cast their votes for him — this time, in a Kodak-sponsored photo contest.
“Eight years ago, you voted me into this office,” he wrote. “Now, I’m asking you to vote for me again in the A Picture’s Worth 1K Likes photo contest. I’ve already made it into the finals, and I’d really appreciate your support!”
Obama, who will be remembered as America’s first black president, a tireless champion of health-care reform, and the guy who got Osama bin Laden, reminded supporters that they could vote “up to 5 times a day from each IP address.”
“It takes 2 seconds,” he concluded. “Just click the link and then ‘like’ my photo. Make sure it’s actually mine!” he joked.
The winner will receive 1,000 likes on the Instagram post of his/her choice. At press time, Obama was 500 votes behind a third-grader from Minnesota, who posted a photo of the grim view from her inner-city classroom.
