Trump Taps PewDiePie for National Security Adviser

The Trump White House, reeling from Michael Flynn’s startling resignation, has offered the National Security Adviser position to ex-YouTube and Disney sensation PewDiePie, himself recently fired for online posts featuring anti-Semitic imagery.

It’s another typically unorthodox choice for an administration now routinely bouncing from one catastrophe to another.

“I’m so honored,” said DiePie. “I really don’t know anything about the job, but I’m told President Trump doesn’t consider that a deal-breaker” — an apparent reference to new Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos.

DiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, has attracted nearly 15 billion views to his ubiquitous online videos — very few of which make any sense.

“I welcome Pew to my team,” said Trump in a written statement. “He’s inexperienced and apparently dislikes Jews, but I’m here to give outsiders a chance.”
