Off the plug

When our life is dependent on Internet, it becomes standstill when the plug is off by force. My broadband connection was fluctuating for the past few days and I was relieved to an extent, to know i was not alone, when I came to know about the submarine cable issue among the Indian ISPs.

Two of my three Internet connection, including two mobile connections, was in the list of affected networks. The 3G network on my tab was unaffected — relief!

The worst not only happens when we don’t expect it, but also when we do not want it to happen. I decided to work on my blog template and was working towards it when suddenly the broadband went off. I took out my tab to continue the work, and to my horror; the Internet did not work on my tab as well.

Tired and not wanting to be on a call with the technical support late at night, I dropped the plan to call the customer care. Also knowing, from previous experience, that nothing can be done to restore the connection by calling the tech support; apart from raising a ticket. I decided to tweet them. I picked up my mobile — and tada! The worst, something I prefer not to happen has happened — Internet blackout. Lost Internet on all the three devices at the same time. The worst of all is to leave customizing my blog incomplete, waiting for the connection to be restored. And what will a blogger do while waiting for it? Blog about it!

Don’t forget to see how your day would be without Internet.
