Key Takeaways

  1. Bumper is launching on Arbitrum imminently
  2. The BUMP token can now be traded on Arbitrum
  3. Ethereum Mainnet has been sunset

Sitreps are back. With the drive and focus to get Bumper onto mainnet our community situation reports got lost somewhere amongst all the other updates we were sharing. But our regular updates are back with a run-down of what’s been going on over the last month.

Standby for Sitrep #034.

The Future is… Arbitrum

If you’ve been keeping up with our community updates you’ll know that we’re well on the way to getting Bumper running on Arbitrum. In fact, it’s now running on a closed testnet. We’re aiming to get this released as soon as it’s ready. So, we’re pushing hard and as soon as we have a date, we’ll let you know.

BUMP TOKEN on Arbitrum

We’ve now expanded the BUMP token to the Arbitrum network. This means the BUMP token is now available on both Ethereum mainnet and Arbitrum One.

Bye Bye Ethereum Mainnet

With the migration to Arbitrum, Bumper on Ethereum mainnet has gone… for now. Gas was making it difficult to use Bumper optimally, both for users and for us maintaining the protocol. All Taker and Maker positions have been closed and users have all their funds returned to their wallets.

Development Update

If you’re interested in the details of what the development team are working on in order to get Bumper live on Arbitrum, this is where to go:

New Style User Interface

The User Interface has gone through a pretty major overhaul as we aim to appeal much more to the trading aspect of Bumper. This will be part of the next release. We’ve been optimising this thanks to the community input. The interface build is well underway.

Pop into Discord and check out the design, and let us know your thoughts.

Office Hours

In our last Office Hours, we discussed product features that will be part of the next release, including cancellations and improved estimates. We also discussed USDC Yields, the next phase of CEXs and, importantly, our migration to Arbitrum.

Watch the full live stream of last week’s Office Hours session on Youtube.

Community Roundup

We’re very aware of an increasing number of scams that have surrounded the Arbitrum migration announcement. Please be extra vigilant of anyone contacting you directly and being added to scam groups. If you’re ever in doubt about any Bumper communications jump into the official Discord channel and double-check with the team that it’s legit.

Finally, the migration of Bumper to Arbitrum will achieve the most success if the whole community is on board, shouting about the game-changer that it is. We’re doing what we can to line up AMAs and interviews in other communities, but we welcome suggestions from amiable communities to talk to, so let us know!
